So you may recall a while back that I mentioned we were partnering with Toyota around the launch of their new city car the IQ at the start of January.
Well today Simon and Mark from our Social Media team have been unleased with an iQ to try to drive around 18 cities in the UK on one tank of fuel.
The main reason for the road trip will be to see just how good the little car’s fuel economy actually is. They’re attempting to beat the car’s official average 65.7mpg giving them range of 460+miles. The challenge being can they do over 500miles on one tank of fuel? This type of driving is also referred to as hypermiling.
You can follow their journey on the iQ blog, Twitter, Flickr and Youtube depending on what you fancy.

Chris Eden There's been some great coverage of the iQ hypermiling attempt below:
Jeremy Jacobs Great to see the idea coming to fruition and that we managed to get the graphics on the side of the car. Will be very interesting to see if traffic/conversation increase as a result!
Good luck boys!Jan 27, 2009 02:47 pm
